I have very fond memories of both Mr. and Mrs. Stoddard. They have always been such warm and gracious people. In particular, I have very joyful memories of visiting their home during my college years. And when the Stoddard’s visited Rob in Washington they always made a point to invite me along to brunch or dinner. I will never forget, returning from brunch one Sunday morning, my car was “tapped” from behind on the Key Bridge. I looked up into my rear view mirror to see Mr. Stoddard in the car behind me, laughing in delight at having given me a startle. His devilish sense of humor and outgoing warmth were something I have tried to emulate in my life. Our world is the less for his loss. I have to imagine, though, that today Heaven is a more fun place. Tom Hutton
