William G. Hamilton of Rydal, PA passed away peacefully at home on June 28, 2026 at the age of 89. The beloved husband for 64 years of Nan (nee Whitridge) Hamilton, he was the loving father of Debra Ruben (Ted) and Karen Ammon (Roger). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and a brother, Peter Hamilton. Born in Abington, PA to the late William G. and Elizabeth Jane (nee McCullough) Hamilton, he was a 1954 graduate of Penn Charter School and received his BSEE from Princeton University in 1958 and his MBA From Harvard Business School in 1963. Bill served in the Navy in the Pacific from 1958 to 1961, after which he served in the Reserves until 1970. From 1963 to 1980 Bill was employed by Fischer and Porter in Warminster, PA where he held sales and management positions in the US and abroad. In 1980 he joined Quaker Chemical Co. where he held insurance and financial positions, retiring as corporate treasurer in 1993.

Bill kept himself busy volunteering with SCORE and enjoyed travel and his summer home in New Hampshire. He was a member of St. Mark's R.E. Church. He belonged to Huntingdon Valley Country Club, Pine Valley Golf Club and Bald Peak Colony Club in New Hampshire where he enjoyed squash, tennis and golf. William served as Treasurer of the Redevelopment Authority of Montgomery County for several years.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service 11:00 am Saturday July 18, 2026 at St. Mark's Reformed Episcopal Church, 1162 Beverly Rd. Rydal. The family will receive guests from 10:30 am until time of service in the church.
