HOSTELLEY, Richard T. "Dick", age 80 of Jenkintown died peacefully at Abington Jefferson Hospital on December 1, 2024. Born in Philadelphia in 1944, Dick was the son of Dr. William V. and S. Christine (nee Putney) Hostelley. Dick grew up in Frankford and after a family move to Jenkintown graduated from Abington High School in 1961.

He went on to Dickinson College, graduating in 1965 with majors in biology and chemistry. Dick continued to pursue his passion for science graduating from Temple Medical School in 1969.

In 1975 Dick married and settled in Jenkintown where he served as a Board certified Emergency

Medicine Physician at Holy Redeemer Hospital and later at Jeanes Hospital. Dick was a Fellow, American College of Emergency Physicians and a member of Pennsylvania College of Emergency Physicians.

In 2024 he retired from medicine to pursue his love of travel, gardening and N gauge trains. He was a life long member of Huntingdon Valley Country Club and a Luv-N-Bunns supporter.

Dick is survived by his wife, Linda (nee Sofranko) of 49 years, his sister Bissie Miller and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services and Interment will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory to the Dickinson Fund at Dickinson College, P. O. Box 1773, Carlisle, PA 17013 would be appreciated by the family.
