Obituary

Patrick Hogan, 88, longtime resident of Parsippany, NJ. Born in Ireland at the Curragh Camp in 1937, he immigrated to the U.S., where he joined the U.S. Army as part of the 82nd Airborne Division. He represented the U.S. as a member of the national soccer team during his service, playing around the world from Egypt to Mexico. His post-military career included decades of work at Rockefeller Center. He married Bridget Agnes Healy, of County Mayo, Ireland, in 1965, and together they raised three children: Mary, Julie, and Michael. He is survived by his brothers Joe, Mike, and Eamonn; his three children and their spouses Paul, Kevin, and Hailey; and six grandchildren, Shane, Anna, Kieran, Roan, Maximus and Ryan. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 47 years, Agnes, and his brother Barry. The family appreciates the compassionate care Pat received at Gloria Dei in his final days.

Pat loved to kick a ball, and later to putt one, so if you are thinking of him, please do so with an appreciation of the fun we share with our mates while we are here.

Pat will be buried at Holy Rood Cemetery next to Agnes in a private ceremony.
