Nancy M. Ruch

Nancy Stewart was born in Philadelphia. She attended Abraham Lincoln High School where she met and later married her husband, George Ruch. The couple celebrated their 63rdwedding anniversary on Feb. 11th of this year.

Eventually moving from Philadelphia to Huntingdon Valley in the late1960's. They raised two boys, George, and Geoffrey. After two moves in "The Valley" The family settled down in the community of "Justa Farm "they joined Huntingdon Valley Country Club in 1978. While the boys enjoyed baseball, tennis and golf Nancy became quite a tennis player and even owned a tennis apparel and equipment shop named "The Net Set." The family also enjoyed their home in Avalon, NJ. Nancy enjoyed the beach and played both golf and tennis while the "boys" spent time on their boat.

After the boys finished college, they both married. George married Janine and Geoff, Kelli. They began raising their own families eventually amassing a total of nine grandchildren, Zak, Jonathan, James, Alyssa, Brooke, Erik, Casey, Rachel & Julia. In 1994 Nancy and George moved to the golf community of Talamore just a few minutes from Huntingdon Valley in Maple Glen, PA. Nancy doted on her grandchildren and enjoyed watching each one grow. The kids loved visiting their Nanny fishing in their pond and barbequing on the deck.

In 2019 Nancy was diagnosed with I.P.F., a lung disease that slowly decreased her health and physical ability. After six years battling the disease, she was forced into a hospital bed in her home. She fought hard to return to the life that she enjoyed but after five difficult draining months Nancy finally lost the battle. She is at peace now. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.
