In Loving Memory of Nan Joyce Bonnett-Foik

It is with profound sadness, but immense love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, that we announce the passing of Nan Joyce Bonnett-Foik, who passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, at the age of 74, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Philadelphia on May 13, 1952, Nan was raised in Glenside, Pennsylvania, where she developed the warmth, determination, and generous spirit that would define her throughout her life. She graduated from Abington High School as a member of the Class of 1970 before earning her Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from Philadelphia University, a reflection of both her creativity and ambition.

Nan first pursued her entrepreneurial dreams by opening NaNails, a successful nail salon she owned and operated from 1987 to 1994. While she enjoyed owning her own business, she ultimately discovered her true calling serving others as a Business Enterprise Program (BEP) Agent for the Blind with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry. She found deep purpose in helping individuals who were blind or visually impaired build successful, independent careers—a role that perfectly reflected her compassionate heart, unwavering generosity, and desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Nan was married to George J. Foik from 1976 until 2004. In 2009, she found love again with Ed Moore, with whom she shared a joyful and devoted partnership for the remainder of her life. Together they built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and countless cherished memories.

Family was the center of Nan's world. She loved fiercely, gave generously, and was always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her kindness knew no bounds, and she found genuine happiness in making others feel loved and cared for. Her magnetic personality drew people to her, and she had a remarkable gift for turning acquaintances into lifelong friends.

Nan embraced life with enthusiasm and curiosity. She loved to travel with Ed, especially to Arizona and Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, where they enjoyed the beauty of Pennsylvania's Grand Canyon. They also loved spending time together visiting the casino, enjoying good food, and making the most of every adventure. Whether it was a weekend getaway or a simple dinner out, Nan believed life's greatest moments were those shared with the people she loved.

A devoted Philadelphia sports fan, Nan faithfully cheered on the Phillies and Eagles through every season. She especially loved attending Phillies games with family and friends. One of her favorite stories, and one that never failed to make everyone laugh, was the day she somehow managed to catch a foul ball in her armpit, creating a memory that became legendary among those who knew and loved her.

Nan is survived by her loving companion, Ed Moore; her daughters, Andrea Brauer and Nicole Foik; her beloved grandchildren, Amelia, Benjamin, and Madeline, who brought immeasurable joy and pride to her life; her sister, Gail Borio; along with many extended family members, dear friends, and colleagues who will forever cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert D. Bonnett and Claire N. Bonnett (Levy).

After suffering a stroke in 2021, Nan faced life's challenges with remarkable resilience and courage. Though her circumstances changed, her spirit remained strong. She continued to find joy in life's simple pleasures—watching Hallmark movies, cheering on the Phillies, spending time with those she loved, and sharing laughter whenever she could. Her perseverance inspired everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Nan's greatest legacy is the love she gave so freely. She taught those around her that generosity is measured not by what we have, but by what we are willing to share. Her compassion, strength, infectious personality, sense of humor, and unwavering devotion to her family will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her.

A funeral service celebrating Nan's life will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with Rabbi Tsurah August officiating at Roosevelt Memorial Park, 2701 Old Lincoln Highway, Trevose, PA 19053. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of a woman whose life touched so many.

Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Nan's love lives on in every life she touched. Her memory will forever be a blessing, and she will be deeply missed beyond words.
