August 17, 1941 – November 14, 2024

Lucille 'Lou' Smith (nee Martosella) of Southampton, PA passed away peacefully on November 14th surrounded by her loving family. Lou was predeceased by her first husband Donald Bove (1975) and second husband Mark Smith (2008).

Beloved mother to Susan Cripps and Donald Bove (Christine), grandmother to her favorite bunch of banshees Stephanie Solometo (George), Danielle Whitley (Brennan), Daniel Cripps, Alexandra Zimmerman (Joel), Nicole Cripps, Sarah White and beloved 'Gigi' to Olivia, Nicolette, George, Jace, Ella and Carson.

Survived by her sister, Carol Plover (Jack) and predeceased by her brothers Joseph 'Boston' Martosella and Daniel Martosella.

Born in Philadelphia to the late Joseph and Susan Martosella (nee DiFilippo), she was the youngest of four children and grew up in North Philadelphia. Lou spent most of her life in Southampton, PA where she enjoyed raising her children, working at Bella Genta Salon and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Lou's family was her greatest pride and joy. She was a wonderful homemaker and was known as a fantastic cook and hostess. If it was not homemade it was not good enough for Lou! Every holiday was made special with her famous recipes, and she tirelessly cooked for her grandchildren, great grandchildren and anyone and everyone who walked through her door.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a viewing for Lou on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 6 – 8 PM at George G. Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 1500 Old York Road, Abington, PA 19001, funeral service will be at 8:00 pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Eagles Autism Foundation.
