John Henry Steinberg, was born June 6th 1967, and was a lifelong resident of eastern, PA. His roots ran deep as he was born in Abington, grew up on an amazing farm that he adored in Jamison, PA before heading to Reading for college. In 1995 he married, and he and his wife Claire settled in Glenside, where they had two children whom he cherished, Amanda Rose and Thomas John. John passed on September 25th 2023. He is survived by many who loved him including his parents, Donald and Nancy Steinberg, his wife, and two children, a brother, Andrew, many sisters and brothers in law, 14 nieces and nephews, as well as cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, and coworkers.

Growing up he enjoyed school, sports and working on the farm with his brother. He spent many youthful days riding his motor bike and tractor, taking in all that farm life had to offer. He was a student at Newtown Friend's School and Germantown Academy before attending Albright College. At age six, he discovered his lifelong passion for soccer. He played for the Buckingham Soccer Club, Germantown Academy (soccer and track), and continued to play soccer at Albright. During his time with the Buckingham Soccer Club he won the U18 State Championship before advancing to the National Championship. Upon graduation from Albright, with a B.S. in Finance, his love for soccer continued. He coached youth teams for numerous years at the Hunter Soccer Club. Coaching both of his children for many being sheer joy.

In addition to his finance degree, John earned a Master's degree in Education from St. Joseph's University. He worked as a loan officer for the majority of his career. John also enjoyed skiing (as a young man he was an avid skier), the beach, music and concerts, and holidays (July 4th and Halloween were two of his favorites). He was a huge fan of all Philadelphia sports teams, with the Eagles, Phillies, and Villanova Basketball as his top three.

However, more important than John's many skills and accomplishments, he was a kind and wonderful person. John had a huge heart who would help anyone in need. He was a devoted son, a caring parent and husband. He enjoyed his friends, coworkers and family, and was always available to listen if someone needed to talk. John was overwhelmingly proud of his children, Amanda and Thomas. He loved every moment of their lives, including watching each activity and sport they chose to pursue.

He will truly and forever be missed by all.
