John Liberius Peter McGarry, of Chalfont passed away October 14, 2019 at the age of 83. Born in Dallas, PA to the late Frank and Mary (nee kelly) McGarry he was a longtime resident of Abington. Mr. McGarry received a Bachelors Degree from East Stroudsburg University and a Masters Degree from The Penn State University. He worked as an elementary school teacher in the Abignton School District. Husband of the late Barbara (nee Klein) McGarry, is the father of Mary McGarry and Sean McGarry (Jen) and grandfather of Cassidy and Madison McGarry. Brother of Tom (Marylou) and Ned (Lucille) McGarry. He was proceeded in death by his son Mark, and brothers Frank (Jean) and Bob McGarry (Louise). Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Saturday 10 am at Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church 1325 Upper State Rd. North Wales where his funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 am. Internment will be in Long Island, NY.
