John Thomas Brinton passed on June 7th, 2023 due to complications from pneumonia. He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin Brinton and Gaynell (Herd) Brinton. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Pamela, his daughter and son-in-law Chuck and Lauren Gottesman, and his "Buddy-Boy", grandson Everett. He is also survived by his sister, LoKiel Miller.

Jack dedicated his career to teaching fourth grade in Springfield Township School District. He loved to trade teaching stories with his daughter Lauren, who also became a fourth grade teacher. While some would consider his stature intimidating, those who knew Jack well would think of him as a gentle giant. Jack had the gift of gab and could make friends with anyone. He loved his Philly sports teams, especially his Phillies and Eagles, and it was a great day when he saw the Eagles clinch the Super Bowl in 2019.

Jack will be remembered for his positivity during the many health challenges he faced in his later years. No matter what, he would say "I'm still kicking", with a smile on his face.
