Frank David Kolachny

February 12,1965- December 16, 2024

Frank David Kolachny of Ambler, Pennsylvania passed away at Abington hospital on the morning of December 16, 2024 after a long battle with heart disease.

Frank leaves behind his loving wife of 13 years, Meg (nee Murphy) and their two sons, Jacob and Brandon. He is survived by his mother Eleanor Jamison, daughter Angela (Dominic), granddaughters Brooke and Katherine, brother Michael (Bonnie), sister Sherri Kolachny, two aunts, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his father, Frank.

Frank was born in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Bishop Shanahan High School. He went on to study at West Chester University and Newman College. Frank always had a passion for education and helping others. He began his career as a special education teacher at Downington High School. With his keen sense of business and entrepreneurship, he started his own business, Joey ll's in Phoenixville. He truly enjoyed serving others while forging long lasting friendships and telling stories and passing on sports wisdom to any, and all who would listen. He then moved on and held a position at Manor College in security and most recently, he enjoyed a wonderful career as a business development manager and sales representative with Aramark and then Buckhead meats. Frank never stopped trying to find the best way to better his career and help support his family.

Frank loved his Philly sports teams, especially his beloved Eagles. He developed lifelong friends and relationships over the years being their biggest fan. His colorful and entertaining Facebook posts were always an enjoyment for anyone who read them. He was able to talk to anyone and everyone with ease. He held these friendships made over the years very close and always tried to stay in touch. He loved teaching his boys about sports and especially watching them both play and compete. He instilled confidence and stressed that being a great teammate was always better than being a successful player.

More than anything in his life, Frank loved his family. In 2010, he met the love of his life, Meg. The family settled in Upper Dublin Township to raise their two sons, Jacob and Brandon. They all enjoyed traveling to the Jersey shore every summer. Frank could spend the entire day on the beach. He prided himself on being "first on and last off." After a breakfast at Carmen's restaurant, he loved sitting in the sand and digging the biggest hole possible for the boys to sit in and play or throwing a football into the waves for them to dive to catch.

Frank had a huge personality, but an even bigger heart. He was never shy about telling you what was on his mind and most importantly that he would do anything to help you. Frank fought hard through too many hospitalizations, surgeries and procedures, all to stay with his beloved family. He will be terribly missed!

Family and friends are invited to his visitation at Immaculate Conception Church in Jenkintown PA on Friday, December 27 at 9 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Internment will be private for family at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Cheltenham, Pennsylvania.
