MONAGHAN, Francis R., a resident of Rydal, PA for 54 years passed away peacefully on September 9, 2022 at the age of 96. Beloved husband for 71 years of Patricia (nee Marcheret) Monaghan he is the loving father of Timothy P., Francis X., and Thomas M. Monaghan. He is the grandfather of Patricia Salom, Christopher and Patrick Monaghan, and Thomas M. Monaghan, Jr. He earned a B.S. in Chemistry in 1948 from St. John's University. Frank was a Major in the Civil Air Patrol where he served for more than 15 years. He has over 1000 flight hours as instrument rated private pilot. Frank was a Realtor working with his wife for over 40 years. He was very active in parish life at Our Lady Help of Christians where he served as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, and Altar Server. He was also a member of the Holy Name Society and St. Vincent dePaul Society through the Church. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass Friday 10:00 am at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 1500 Marian Rd. Abington, PA 19001 where the family will receive guests from 9:00 am until Mass time. Int. St. John Neumann Cemetery.
