Eugene Michael Sheils of Rydal, PA passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021, peacefully at home with his loving wife, Anne, of 34 years by his side. Born in Ireland to the late Michael and Bridget (nee Molloy) Sheils, Michael came to the United States at the age of 24. Upon arriving here, he continued his studies and became an educator and science teacher in New Jersey. Michael served in the US Navy on active duty from November 26, 1957, to November 22, 1961. He then served in the Reserves until 1993. Michael is the beloved husband of Anne (nee Schager) Sheils and loving father of Deirdre, Kathleen, Michael, and Duncan Sheils. Grandfather of Justin, Cameron, Carly, and Oliver. He is very loved and will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday August 27th 10:30 to 11:15am at the George FitzPatrick Funeral Home, 1500 Old York Rd. Abington, PA where his Funeral Service will be held at 11:30am. Interment to follow with full military honors at BG William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
