Daniel Sneberger passed away April 13, 2023 at the age of 96. He was born in Jessup, PA in 1926 to Rev Frank and Susan Sneberger, who had met while attending college after immigrating to the US from Czechoslovakia.

While attending grammar school in Peckville PA, his athletic ability earned him a scholarship to Wyoming Seminary in Kingston, PA. Upon graduation he was offered, as the only member of his class, enrollment in the US Navy's Officer Training program, which he began at Swarthmore College, ultimately graduating from the University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School of Economics. An accomplished athlete, he was a "Five Letter Man" during his time at Swarthmore. Following graduation, he received a commission as a Lieutenant, and served as a Gunnery Officer aboard the destroyer USS Mount McKinley during the Korean War. Dan was proud of his country, and when asked to serve another tour of Duty, he gladly re-enlisted.

He began his professional career with Lennox China, rising to become the National Sales Manager. An entrepreneur at heart, he soon left to start his own company as a Manufacturer's Representative. He introduced several lesser-known brands to fine jewelers throughout the country, helping those brands achieve great success; Cybis Porcelains and Wellendorff Jewellers from Germany among others. Dan's motto was "the harder you work, the luckier you get" and it served him well. He was well respected in the industry and earned a faithful following within the community of Fine Jewelers.

Dan was always grateful for his success and believed in giving back. In addition to his monetary contributions, he believed in giving of his time as well, and served on the Men's Board of Abington Hospital, and as a deacon at Abington Presbyterian Church.

As a 67 year member of Huntingdon Valley Country Club, he served several terms on the Board of Directors. He was an avid golfer and a regular fixture at the card table. He was known for his sense of humor and kindness to all he met and was the oldest surviving member of the club.

Dan was the loving husband of Jeannette Frese Sneberger, who predeceased him in death in 2017, and was his partner in marriage for over 60 years.

He is survived by his son Daniel Sneberger (Nancy), his daughter Candace Sneberger (Archie Hendricks) grandchildren Brittany Brodzinski (Mark), Cary Sneberger (Kevin Anderson) and great grandchildren Madison Sneberger and Emma Brodzinski.

Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service Tuesday April 25th 11:00 am at Abington Presbyterian Church, 1082Old York Rd. Abington where the family will receives visitors from 10:00 until 11:00 am. Int. private.
