Anne Margaret
Tausz
Aug 27, 1935 — Oct 26, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Anne Margaret (Egresits) Tausz on October 26th, 2025. She had just celebrated her 90th birthday – a milestone she was very happy to reach.
Born August 27th,1935, daughter of Rudolph and Margaret Egresits, Anne grew up in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. She developed a strong work ethic at an early age, working in the local bakery shop while attending school at Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls. Later in life, she worked for the pharmaceutical company Smith, Kline and French (SKF) until she met the love of her life, Matthew Tausz. They married April 12, 1958, and were lucky to share 60 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and deep devotion to one another.
Anne was a loving mother, wife, sister, and friend. Anne and Matt originally lived in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia where they began their family with the birth of their son and daughter, Gregory and Lori. They later moved to Rockledge for a number of years before moving to Harleysville in the early 70's.
Anne was known for her love of cooking, baking, fishing down at the Jersey shore, and dancing at the local German club (Cannstatter Volksfest-Verein). She touched the lives of everyone she met. She was a lover of animals, and all the family pups were instantly drawn to her as she was quick with treats, toys and cuddles. Her warmth, quick wit, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
After her children had grown, Anne and Matt found time to travel and toured Europe, visiting relatives in Germany, Hungary and Czechoslovakia.
Anne is survived by her son, Gregory Tausz (Heather), her daughter Lori Stefanowicz (Adam) and her five grandchildren John and Katie Tausz, Adam Stefanowicz (Paige), Ashley Stefanowicz (Patrick), and Jessica (Stefanowicz) Topfer (Jacob)), and her great granddaughter Sadie James Topfer.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, her brother Rudolph Jr., and her husband.
A private remembrance of life will be celebrated to honor her legacy.
