Obituary for Sherry Brogan (Himes)
Sherry Brogan (nee Himes) passed away peacefully at her home in Rydal, PA on October 6, 2022. She is the beloved wife of Sean H. Brogan and loving mother of Olivia H., Emma G. and Finnian C. Brogan, all of Rydal. She is the daughter of Harry C. Himes, Sr. and Margaret Himes (nee Gallagher). Sherry is the sister of Megan Demeter (Joseph), Millicent Gentlesk (Michael), Harry C. Himes, Jr. and Alexander Himes. Sherry was born and raised in Huntingdon Valley, PA and graduated from Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School in 1988. Sherry was a 1992 graduate of Villanova University.
In 1997, Sherry and Sean were married at St. Thomas of Villanova Church on Villanova University’s campus. She was a devoted mother to her two daughters and son. Sherry loved to be involved in her children’s activities, and was dedicated to creating a loving home for her family. Sherry will always be remembered for her warm smile, generous spirit, and loving heart.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Thursday Eve. 6 to 8 pm at FitzPatrick Funeral Home, 1500 Old York Rd. Abington. A second viewing will be held at the church of St. Thomas of Villanova, 800 E. Lancaster Ave. Villanova, PA at 10 am, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 am. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to the American Lung Association at its website or 55 W. Wacker Dr. Suite 1150, Chicago, IL 60601 would be appreciated by the family.
