Joanne Marie Gibilante (Rooney), 70, of Collegeville, PA, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Roxborough Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. She was born Friday, November 10, 1950 in Philadelphia, PA. She married her loving and devoted husband, Frank Gibilante on Friday, November 6, 1998 at The Warrington-Burgundy room and he survives.
Also surviving are her daughter, Kimberly Cossaboon, and son, Kevin Hummel; grandsons, Michael Ramsher, and Tyler Cossaboon; great grandson, Michael Lintia-Ramsher; the Gibilante grandchildren, Frankie, Angela, Gabriella, Isabella, and Annabelle; brothers, Michael Rooney, Tommy Rooney, and Jay McElroy; son in law, Kevin J Cossaboon; the Gibilante sons and daughter Frank, Mike, and Linda; daughter in laws, Maureen and Jen; and nieces, Mary and Dorothy; and nephews, Tommy George and Jay.
Joanne was a longtime resident of Montgomery County, PA. She grew up with five brothers in Philadelphia, PA. She worked at Stetson’s Hat Co., manager at Gino’s, manager at Sal’s Pizza, co-owner of The Ice-Cream Machine, machine operator at Allegro Microsystems Inc., and bookkeeper for Frank’s Electric.
Recently celebrated 22 years of a good, happy, lasting, loving and fulfilling marriage.
My mother loved her family, home , and dogs, (Spunky and Blue). My mother never wanted for anything. She was the sweetest, kindest, loving, and most giving person I know. Her favorite time of the year is Spring. Goodbye for now, and until we meet again, you will forever have a place in my heart.
So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you- John 16:22
