Christine was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Christmas Day in 1934. She grew up in a Catholic family where she had four brothers and sisters: Jerry, Carol, Michael and Patricia. She was a twin with her sister Carol, and they had the strong bond that only twins can have. She treasured her relationships with all of her siblings. Christine attended St. Luke’s Elementary School and she enjoyed going to mass every morning before the school day started. She attended Gwynedd Mercy Academy High school where she was at the top of her class.
Christine married the love of her life, Ben Suplick of Philadelphia, on June 21, 1959. They started their family shortly thereafter and eventually moved to their home in Abington in 1966, remaining there, and raising their family, for the past 57 years. After her marriage, and with Ben’s support, Christine earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from St. Joseph’s University. Christine began her career at SmithKline Beecham in 1979, where she worked for the company for decades. In retirement, she split her time between Abington, Hobe Sound, Florida and Ocean City, New Jersey. When in Hobe Sound, she belonged to the National Christ Child Society, volunteering much of her time to those in need.
Christine was a loving mother to her children, guiding them all through 16 years of Catholic Education, encompassing Our Lady Help of Christians Elementary School, Bishop McDevitt High School, the University of Notre Dame, and St. Joseph’s University. She had a special relationship with all her grandchildren, bringing joy, love, and chocolate to all their lives.
