Obituary for Jeannette F. "Jeni" Sneberger (Frese)

Jeannette F. "Jeni" Sneberger (Frese)
Jeannette (Jeni) Frese Age 85 of St Croix and Warminster, PA died on January 31,
2017.
Beloved wife of Daniel Sneberger, she was the mother of Daniel (Nancy) and
Candace Sneberger (Archie Hendricks), grandmother of Brittany (Mark) Brodzinski
and Cary Sneberger, great grandmother of Madison Sneberger and Emma
Brodzinski. As a young woman, Jeni spent her summers at Lake Mohawk in Northern
New Jersey, where she was a star swimmer and synchronized swimmer par
excellence.
She graduated from Centenary College, and married her husband Dan in 1952, with
whom she has been happily married for nearly 65 years. They have been members
of Huntingdon Valley Country Club for over 60 years, raising their children and
grandchildren there. While Jeni “played at” golf, she was famous for the aquacades
that she choreographed and produced at HVCC introducing water ballet to a whole
new generation! Jeni was a talented artist, a lover of music and dance, and she
shared and encouraged those loves with her family. To watch her on the dance floor
was pure joy! She loved to travel, and toured the world with Dan and their family.
With her experience she helped her daughter, Candace, to found her travel agency
VacationWired.com and became a top sales agent for the company.
She gave of herself generously. For years she served on the Womens’ Board at
Abington Hospital serving as Chairperson of the Village Fair and June Fete along
with her other fundraising activities.
There was nothing more important to Jeni than her family.
Jeni was very involved with the PTA at her childrens’ school,
and she never missed the swim meets, tennis matches, lacrosse games, school
concerts and art exhibits in which her children and grandchildren were involved.
She was a tireless cheerleader and supporter of them all, with nothing but positivity,
win or lose. She was kind and understanding, and she truly loved people; all people.
Jeni had a love of all animals, especially her faithful dog Cody, and supported the
rescue dog movement. Jeni showed great strength and resolve throughout her 85
years, never more than in her battle with the ovarian cancer that ultimately took her
life.
Family and friends may visit Monday February 6 from 10-11am at Abington
Presbyterian Church, 1082 Old York Rd., and are invited to her memorial service at 11am.
Contributions in her memory may be made to Abington Hospital, Last Chance Ranch
or the PSPCA.
