Scannapieco, George F. age 86 of Abington, PA passed away October 8, 2016. Beloved husband of Matha M. (nee Yenick), he is the loving father of Eric J. (Kathleen) and the late George (Wendy) and Mark Scannapieco. Loving grandfather of John, Paul, Erik and Shane Scannapieco, he is the brother of Lucille Jorgenson and the late Jean Saponara. Mr. Scannapieco worked as an engraver for 40 years at the Philadelphia Inquirer. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Wednesday October 12, 2016 10:00 am at FitzPatrick Funeral Home, 1500 Old York Rd. Abington where his funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers contributions to Abington Hospital Health Foundation, 1200 Old York Rd. Abington, PA 19001 in his memory would be appreciated by the family.
